Ukraine won't denounce Minsk agreements, but it's impossible to fulfill them - Danilov

Ukraine won't denounce the Minsk agreements, but it's impossible to implement them in their current form.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksii Danilov stated this on the air of the "Right to Power" program, UNN reports.

"We do not denounce them. We must work with the Minsk agreements, there are no others. But we need to understand that in the form in which they exist, we cannot hold elections in our territory in the presence of Russian tanks, armored personnel carriers, Russian generals, Russian officers. This is nonsense, it's impossible to do it, and it's necessary to speak about it publicly, openly," Danilov said.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council stressed Ukraine was in favor of ending the war.

As Rubryka reported, on June 16, the first meeting in ten years between Vladimir Putin and Joseph Biden took place in Geneva, now in the status of presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States, respectively. The talks lasted about three hours.

As a result, the leaders signed a single document, a joint statement on strategic stability.

The leaders of the countries didn't hold a joint press conference. Each of the presidents answered questions from the press separately, summing up the summit.

In particular, Putin said during a press conference that Russia allegedly had only one commitment to Ukraine: to promote the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

During his meeting with the President of Russia, US President Joe Biden declared his support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
