About 1.5M IDPs registered in Ukraine – Social Policy Ministry

Almost 1.5 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and Crimea have been registered in Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.

"As of June 8, 2021, according to the Unified Information Database of Internally Displaced Persons, 1,469,676 internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea were registered," the report reads.

Among the registered IDPs are 1,192,751 families, 195,390 children, 395,193 people of working age, and 51,549 people with disabilities.

As reported, in May 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated over UAH 26 million in subventions for the purchase of housing for internally displaced persons.
