Hungary ready to support Ukraine's accession to NATO and EU

Hungary is ready to support Ukraine's accession to NATO and the European Union.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's Chief of Staff Gergely Gulyas made a corresponding statement in an interview with Varosh media outlet, Ukrinform reports.

According to Gulyas, Ukraine's accession to NATO and the EU is also in Hungary's interests.

He also reminded the Ukrainian side of the issue of the Hungarian national minority, in which Hungary wants to find a compromise with Ukraine. Gulyas believes that bilingual education could be a compromise: "We would like, and we think it is Ukraine's duty to ensure the observance of the key rights of the Hungarian community, especially the right to education in the mother tongue," Hungarian Prime Minister's Chief of Staff said.

As reported, Gulyas also announced the readiness of Viktor Orbán to meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
