Book Arsenal announces its program
The 10th International Book Arsenal Festival has announced the Program. It includes 261 events that will take place on a 34,000 square meter historic building and in the courtyard of the Art Arsenal in Kyiv.

The Jubilee Book Arsenal will start on Wednesday, June 23, and, traditionally, the key event of the opening will be the announcement of the winners of the "Best Book Design" contest. The festival will broadcast the event live and everyone, even those who don't make it to the opening on this day, will learn about the most beautiful book that will represent Ukraine at the world competition.
The presentation of the book "The Great President of a Small Country. The Story of Dalia Grybauskaitė" with the participation of the author Daiva Ulbinaitė, as well as the heroine herself, the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė.
At the end of the opening day, the event of Serhii Zhadan's Writing Program "Aloud. About Myself," a concert of Ukrainian-German friendship "Singing Bats "with the participation of the program's curator, as well as his German friends Wladimir Kaminer and Yuriy Gurzhy. All events of the program "Aloud. About Myself" will take place every night on the street stage of the Book Arsenal.
The focus topic of the Festival of Optimists and Skeptics and its curator Rostyslav Semkiv presents 8 events, including the title lecture of Oksana Zabuzhko "Optimism of Ukrainian History."
The program for children and teenagers is the largest in the Book Arsenal. Curator Yulia Kozlovets called it "Experience of lack of experience." The program will include 56 events: performances, meetings with writers, workshops, and lectures for children and parents. For safety, the entire children's part of the festival was taken to the yard of the Art Arsenal; there's a fair of children's literature and a children's stage.
Liuba Morozova's musical program "Seven Strings for Uncle Mykhailo" is presented by 4 concerts of modern classical music.
The visual component of the Book Arsenal consists of 14 exhibition projects, including Vlada Ralko's School Tsyheika and Yevhen Karas's, Oleksandr Liapin's, and Oleh Vasylenko's Ukrainian Collage.
An integral part of the Book Arsenal is the Veterans' Tent, a place where the literature of Ukrainian authors who defended or are defending Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war is widely presented.
Tickets for the X Book Arsenal will be available for sale from June 8 and only online. They will be sold by slots and will allow visitors to enter the Festival only during a certain period on a particular day. You can stay at the Book Arsenal without a time limit.
The opening hours of the Festival have been extended from 9 am to 10 pm. 9 to 10 am is an hour of free attendance for retirees. At other times, people with disabilities, children under the age of 12, anti-terrorist operation veterans, and ICOM cardholders have free access to the Book Arsenal, all festival days in any slot.
The Art Arsenal, the organizer of the Festival, takes these measures to secure visitors and participants, to prevent queues and crowds.
