Kuleba offers the US to invest in hydrogen production in Ukraine

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has invited the United States to invest in hydrogen production in Ukraine.

The Foreign Ministry's press service informed about this, Rubryka reports.

It is noted that Kuleba had a telephone conversation with the co-chair of Ukraine's support group in the US House of Representatives, congressional representative Marcy Kaptur.

The conversation took place in the context of enhancing contacts between the head of Ukrainian diplomacy and representatives of the Congress to counter common threats between Ukraine and the United States and discuss priorities for the development of the strategic partnership.

Kuleba thanked Kaptur for her personal contribution to strengthening bipartisan and bicameral support for Ukraine in the US Congress, promoting important legislative initiatives for our country.

Kaptur stressed that Ukraine's support group is ready, together with other members of the House of Representatives and the US Senate, to continue its efforts to deter the Russian Federation from further aggressive actions against the Ukrainian state.

The interlocutors discussed the opposition to the Nord Stream-2 project.

A separate topic of conversation was the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the field of renewable energy sources.

Kuleba recalled that last year the European Union had approved a long-term strategy for reforming the energy sector based on a low-carbon economy.

"According to our estimates, Ukraine can meet the demand of the European market for green energy sources, becoming the largest supplier of hydrogen," said the Foreign Minister.

In this context, he invited the American party to invest in hydrogen production in Ukraine and the creation of infrastructure for its transportation to Europe.
