Shkarlet suggests that vaccination may become mandatory for teachers
Vaccination can be a condition of admission to the teaching profession.
The Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet said this at a press conference at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Education and Science," Ukrinform reports.
"Admission to the profession may have a mandatory element of vaccination," he said.
The Minister added that there was no compulsory vaccination, including from COVID-19, in Ukraine; a person may have either allergic reactions or relevant medical contraindications.
Shkarlet noted that today 65% of the population of Ukraine was involved in the educational process, it's the educators themselves, and children, their parents, and family members.
As reported by Rubryka, in Ukraine, vaccination of employees involved in the external independent evaluation began in April with CoronaVac vaccines from Sinovac Biotech.
The Pfizer-BioNTec vaccine, which was delivered to Ukraine as part of the global COVAX initiative, will also be used to vaccinate educators.
