Ukraine's first vaccination center will open at Lviv stadium: photo

The first vaccination center in Ukraine will open at the stadium in Lviv on May 29. Residents of the region who've signed up for vaccination through the "Diia" application will be able to receive vaccinations there.

The head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi announced this.

The center will be created on the basis of Arena Lviv stadium to accelerate the pace of vaccination. The head of the regional state administration says that they want to ensure a stable capacity to carry out vaccinations now and in the future.

The center will have all the necessary equipment and facilities for vaccination and COVID-19 prevention, Kozytskyi assures. It will be equipped with vaccine refrigerators and computers. The center will be guarded.

There will be doctors, vaccinators, registrars, medical staff, and experts for outreach and counseling. There will also be people who'll be separately responsible for the areas of medical surveillance, compliance with anti-epidemic measures, and the emergency (ambulance) brigade will be on duty.

According to legal documents, the centers are temporary vaccination points with the ability to store vaccines there for 24 hours.

Earlier, it was reported that Lviv plans to create a center for mass vaccination of the population, it may be opened at the "Arena Lviv" stadium.
