Lviv wants to open a mass vaccination center at stadium
In Lviv, authorities plan to create a center for mass vaccination of the population, it can be opened at the "Arena Lviv" stadium.
The head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi announced this on Facebook, following a meeting with the Head of the Ministry of Health Viktor Liashko, Ukrinform reports.
"So far, there has been a question of creating such a center at the Arena Lviv stadium. This facility best meets the Ministry's recommendations for equipping the centers. Now it's necessary to resolve several organizational issues, primarily staffing the center. Because not only doctors but also volunteers and students of medical institutions will be involved," Kozytskyi said.
According to him, a number of organizational issues need to be resolved to create the center, in particular, providing it with personnel, refrigeration equipment, computer equipment, the Internet, and security.
Kozytskyi added that the stadium was located outside the city, which can make it difficult for people to reach.
Therefore, the regional state administration doesn't rule out the location of the center on the grounds of other premises to ensure unimpeded passage of the population from the outskirts of Lviv and districts of the region.
Following the meeting, the relevant department was instructed to work out a mechanism for establishing such centers in the region in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
To date, almost 74,000 people have been vaccinated in the region.
