Ukraine's security is Europe's security - Estonian Prime Minister

On Tuesday, May 18, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia Kaja Kallas, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusk visited the Joint Forces Operation Zone, where they got acquainted with the work of the Stanytsia Luhanska Checkpoint.

During the briefing, Kallas noted Estonia supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during Russia's long-term armed aggression and stressed that Ukraine's security was Europe's security.

"We're all partners and friends of Ukraine, and we must put an end to hostilities. Together with international partners, we have worked to take concrete steps and defend Ukraine. Russia must know the price and consequences of its aggression. Today I was here to say: we're standing next to you. Seven years after the beginning of the aggression and as much as necessary, we'll continue to help," the Estonian Prime Minister said.

She added Estonia supported several projects aimed at improving the well-being of schoolchildren and ensuring equal opportunities in education in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This includes providing two villages with the Internet and providing humanitarian assistance to low-income families.

Earlier it was reported that the Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas would pay a working visit to Ukraine on May 17-19. According to her, Ukraine is Estonia's most important development cooperation partner, and the country's investments in various projects amount to 1.4 million euros a year.
