A new batch of coronavirus vaccine from Pfizer & BioNTech arrived in Ukraine on Tuesday, May 18.

Segodnya reports.

Almost 120,000 doses of the drug arrived at Kyiv Airport.

It's known that the country has been promised a total of 473 thousand doses, which will come in four batches.

"Vaccination will begin when all batches of Pfizer arrive, as the latter will be the vaccine solution," the statement said.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) said that after thawing, unopened vials of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.

This period is much longer than before; it was previously recommended to store the vaccine for 5 days.

As reported by Rubryka, the French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi together with the British partner GSK announced the successful completion of the second phase of testing of its coronavirus vaccine.
