Zelenskyi honors the memory of the Crimean Tatar genocide victims

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi recorded an address on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance for the victims of the Crimean Tatar genocide.

"Eternal memory to all victims of the Crimean Tatar genocide! Bowing our heads to them, hoping for the victory of justice and truth, Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars say: Crimea will be free! Qırım serbest olacaq!" Zelenskyi wrote on Twitter.

As Rubryka reported, on May 18, 1944, an operation to deport Crimean Tatars began. This day honors the memory of the victims of this crime and also marks it as the Day of the struggle for the rights of the Crimean Tatar people.
