Ukrainian and US embassies are working to organize a meeting of presidents - Markarova
The Ukrainian embassy in Washington and the American embassy in Kyiv are considering the possibility of a meeting between Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Joe Biden.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova stated this in Washington, Ukrinform reports.
"Of course, both we and our colleagues at the US Embassy in Ukraine are working to ensure both President Zelenskyi's meeting and a visit to the United States and, I hope, Joe Biden's seventh visit (for all the time – ed.) to Ukraine," Markarova said.
She noted that the Ukrainian party was ready for all formats of the bilateral meeting, not only in Ukraine or the United States but also in other countries if such an opportunity arises earlier.
The ambassador stressed that now the relations between the two countries were developing intensively.
"We definitely feel huge support from American colleagues at all levels, from President Biden, Secretary of State Blinken, you have all seen the recent visit to Kyiv… That is, there's unconditional and very strong support and contacts at all levels," Markarova said.
As Rubryka reported, during the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Kyiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi extended an invitation to Joe Biden to visit Ukraine.
