President Volodymyr Zelenskyi confirmed that Ukraine's strategic course was to gain Ukraine's full membership in the European Union and NATO.

Zelenskyi said this during the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Country Security," Ukrinform reports.

"The country's strategic course is to gain Ukraine's full membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. We must also ensure the strengthening of a special partnership with NATO and the acquisition of full membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization," the president said.

Zelenskyi added that for this purpose, they planned to achieve sufficient interoperability of the Armed Forces and other components of the security and defense sector with the relevant structures of the Allies in the shortest possible time and receive an invitation to the MAP in NATO.

A little later, during a conversation with journalists, Zelenskyi expressed hope that in June, Ukraine would see a "strong signal" from the Allies, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
