When drafting the law on oligarchs, the staff of the National Security and Defense Council assumes this category can "confidently include 13 people."
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksii Danilov stated this, speaking at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Country Security" on May 11, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
Direct speech: "One of the great challenges existing today… and at the last meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, the President gave the task to the National Security Council, the Antimonopoly Committee, the President's Office to develop a law on oligarchs who have a great influence on our economy, our domestic and foreign policy processes.
In my opinion, and according to the criteria of the National Security and Defense Council staff, which we consider when preparing this document, we mean 13 people whom we can confidently attribute to the oligarchic environment, which has a very big influence inside and outside our country," Danilov said.
Danilov didn't name the oligarchs.
