A Ukrainian defender killed near Novotroitske

Close to Novotroitske, armed forces of the Russian Federation fired, killing one Ukrainian serviceman and seriously injuring others.

It's known that the Russian armed forces fired at the positions of Ukrainian defenders with hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms near the village of Novotroitske, which is in the area of ​​responsibility of the operational and tactical group "Skhid."

"As a result of the enemy shelling, one serviceman from the Joint Forces received a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, the soldier's life was not saved. The command expresses its sincere and deep condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased defender," the headquarters said.

In addition, another Ukrainian serviceman received a shrapnel wound.

"The defender was given first aid promptly and evacuated to a medical facility. The wounded man's health is severe," the Joint Forces headquarters said.

Our defenders returned fire on the shelling of the Russian occupation forces.

The OSCE representatives were informed about the actions of the armed forces of the Russian Federation through the Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center for Ceasefire Issues and Stabilization of the Demarcation Line of the Parties.
