Ministry of Health destroyed data on public figures waiting for vaccination out of turn
The Ministry of Health destroyed the personal data of public figures who wanted to be vaccinated against COVID-19 out of turn but didn't have time. Since mid-April, Ukraine has eliminated vaccinations with the remaining vaccine doses in Ukraine.
The press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
According to the ministry, the vaccination of public figures outside the line with residual doses was eliminated by order № 745 of April 16, 2021, after amendments to the vaccination roadmap.
"Therefore, under the Law on Personal Data Protection, the health departments of regions and Kyiv destroyed personal data of public figures, which they provided when filling out the form for registration for COVID-19 vaccination with residual doses," the Ministry of Health explained.
The ministry stressed that now overdoses of the coronavirus vaccine may be used to vaccinate only those identified in the first and second stages of vaccination.
