Zelenskyi will pay an official visit to Poland on May 3

On May 3, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi will take part in the celebration of the 230th anniversary of adopting the first constitution of Poland and will hold talks with President Andrzej Duda.

This was announced after a Warsaw meeting with the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva, Head of the Bureau of International Policy of the President of Poland Krzysztof Szczerski, the press service of the President of Poland reports.

According to Szczerski, the meeting with Zhovkva touched on four topics: mutual visits of presidents, the activity of the Russian army in eastern Ukraine and the Black Sea, Polish chairmanship in the OSCE in 2022, and support for Ukraine in NATO and EU forums.

According to Krzysztof Szczerski, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi will visit Warsaw on May 3 to celebrate the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the first Polish constitution, as well as meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda. In turn, the Polish leader will visit Ukraine during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence.

Szczerski also noted that, according to the Ukrainian party, the withdrawal of Russian troops announced by Moscow, which had recently been concentrated near the border with Ukraine, had an only isolated character, as they moved them to locations of permanent deployment.

"Equipment and combat capabilities remain. We're dealing with a moderate level of troop withdrawal. The Ukrainian party assesses this as a pause in a tense situation," Szczerski said.

The head of the International Policy Bureau of the President of Poland also informed that Warsaw was considering various scenarios for increasing the role of the OSCE in stabilizing the situation in eastern Ukraine. He added Kyiv wanted to intensify the role of the OSCE in this process.

In addition, Szczerski noted Poland would persuade NATO and EU partners to expand relations with Ukraine.
