Cabinet of Ministers extends state of emergency due to coronavirus situation in Ukraine
The government extended the state of emergency until June 30 because of the coronavirus situation.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated this at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.
"The government keeps on the state of emergency until June 30. The state of emergency first concerns the state authorities and their constant readiness to counteract the pandemic. It's also another reminder to all Ukrainians that we must remain careful and cautious because the health and life of our loved ones depend on it," Shmyhal said.
According to him, people should show special caution and a conscious attitude during the May holidays and Easter.
As the head of government said authorities are urging citizens to refrain from mass gatherings, as it could lead to a new wave of incidence.
As reported by Rubryka, on February 17, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution on establishing adaptive quarantine in Ukraine by April 30, 4 levels of epidemiological danger and indicators for their definition are determined.
