Klopotenko included in 50 Next, a list of professionals changing the world of gastronomy
Chef Yevhen Klopotenko became the only Ukrainian included in the list of 50 Next, a list of professionals expanding the boundaries of gastronomy, by the organizers of the world-famous restaurant rating, The World's 50 Best Restaurants.

The organizers of the world's main restaurant award The World's 50 Best Restaurants together with the Basque Culinary Center announced the first winners of the new award 50 Next, a list of people under 35 transforming the future of gastronomy.
"I'm still overwhelmed with emotions and I can't fully comprehend what happened," Yevhen Klopotenko says. "Being selected from hundreds of contenders for the list of 50 professionals changing the world of gastronomy is an acknowledgment I'm on the right track."

According to Yevhen Klopotenko, including the Ukrainian chef in the 50 Next list means that Ukraine has appeared on the gastronomic map of the world.
"The fact that the representatives of the 50 Next ranking paid attention to Ukraine and chose me to the list is a huge victory for Ukraine because it's the first time our country has been marked in the world restaurant rankings of this level," says Yevhen Klopotenko. "This opens a huge window of opportunity. In Ukraine, there are many talented chefs who deserve worldwide recognition."
The 50 best juries chose from more than 700 candidates.
The list of 50 Next includes young people under 35 from around the world, whose approach to work expands the boundaries of gastronomy, not only chefs but also independent winemakers, farmers, scientists, and artists, whose focus is food in all its manifestations.
All 50 Next winners were divided into 7 categories: Game-changing Producers; Tech Disruptors; Empowering Educators; Entrepreneurial Creatives; Science Innovators; Hospitality Pioneers and Trailblazing Activists.

50 Next is an initiative of the organizers of The World's 50 Best Restaurant rating, which has been determining the best restaurants in the world since 2002.
Each year, a jury of more than 1,000 culinary experts names the world's 100 best restaurants. Inclusion in the ranking of The World's 50 Best Restaurant is considered no less prestigious award than receiving a Michelin star.
