Zelenskyi explains why the meeting with Macron dragged on
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi commented on the long conversation with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron.
He did this while answering questions during a briefing at the Elysee Palace.
One of the journalists asked whether Zelenskyi and Macron talked about Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO. Zelenskyi replied that the meeting was dragged on precisely because of the topics the journalist asked about.
"There were a lot of questions. And the questions are all difficult. Only one meeting, hard questions. One wants to ask all the questions. Ukraine is a powerful, persistent country that wants not only to ask questions but also to get answers, but not everything happens so fast in life. So the meeting dragged on," Zelenskyi said.
To recap, Zelenskyi and his wife are on a working visit to France on April 16.
France has stated it sees Zelenskyi's upcoming visit as very important.
A meeting behind closed doors is currently underway between Zelenskyi and Macron.
