Ukraine is initiating a TCG emergency meeting due to 3 servicemen's death in JFO
Ukraine is initiating a TCG special emergency meeting.
The press service of the Ukrainian delegation stated this, UNN reports.
The Ukrainian delegation stated that a civilian from Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region, had been wounded since the last meeting on March 30 as a result of shelling of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, as a result of the first-aimed enemy fire, three servicemen of the Armed Forces were killed, and four more received combat wounds and injuries.
These gross ceasefire violations amid an unprecedented increase in the grouping of Russian troops near the state border of Ukraine and the militant rhetoric of ORDLO representatives are of deep concern to Ukraine's political leadership and international partners, the delegation said.
"Based on this, guided by paragraph 4 of the Addendum to the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements of February 12, 2015, following the TCG consultations of September 29, 2015, the Head of the Ukrainian Delegation Leonid Kravchuk called on the OSCE leadership to support Ukraine's initiative to convene an emergency meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group to discuss issues related to the immediate adoption of decisive measures to restore the ceasefire and return to strict implementation of the agreements reached on July 22, 2020," the press service said.
As Rubryka reported, on the evening of April 5, pro-Russian militants fired small arms and heavy machine guns at Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka. As a result of enemy shelling, a serviceman of the Joint Forces was mortally wounded.
Today it became known that 2 more servicemen were killed by an enemy bullet in the JFO last night.
