By-elections to Rada: "Svoboda" deputy Koshulynskyi demands to announce re-elections
Ruslan Koshulynskyi, a candidate from the Svoboda party, is demanding that the election to the Verkhovna Rada in the №87 constituency, where the strongman and nominee of the Servant of the People party Vasyl Virastyuk wins, be declared invalid and re-election to be announced.
Koshulynskyi wrote about this on Facebook.
To recap, on Sunday, March 28, by-elections to the parliament took place in the district №87 in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
As of the morning of March 31, 67.52% of polling station protocols had been processed. So far, the results are as follows: Vasyl Virastyuk ("Servant of the People"), 31.3%, Ruslan Koshulynskyi ("Svoboda"), 28.88%, Oleksandr Shevchenko ("For the Future"), 28.73%.
On March 30, the Servant of the People party deputies went to Ivano-Frankivsk to clarify the situation with the vote count in 87 constituencies, as the district committee's work was temporarily suspended because of the disappearance of one commission chairperson and the delay of a new one.
Koshulynskyi said that his team had conducted an honest election campaign, and would defend its result.
"Given the numerous violations and the current situation, we demand to declare the election results invalid and declare re-elections. The community should not be deceived," Koshulynskyi said.
