I don't believe in business as usual between EU and Russia without solving a situation in Ukraine - Zelenskyi

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi expects that the European Council at its strategic meeting in late March will send a powerful signal condemning Russia's hybrid aggression against Ukraine.

The head of state made this statement during a joint meeting with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, at the meeting with the media in Kyiv.

Zelenskyi recalled that yesterday they made a trip to the Ukrainian Donbas together, where Michel was able to see for himself the terrible consequences of Russia's ongoing aggression for Ukraine.

"The presence of the highest EU official on the line of contact is a powerful signal of EU solidarity with Ukraine… I hope that the European Council in late March will send a loud signal condemning Russia's hybrid aggression against Ukraine. I don't believe in returning to business as usual in relations between the European Union and the Russian Federation without restoring the territorial integrity of our state," Zelenskyi said.

As reported, a strategic discussion on EU-Russia relations is scheduled for the end of March at the European Council.
