NSDC imposes sanctions on Medvedchuk and his wife
The National Security and Defense Council has imposed sanctions on one of the leaders of the pro-Russian party, OPZZH, Viktor Medvedchuk, and his wife, Oksana Marchenko.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksii Danilov stated this at a briefing.
"Sanctions are imposed on all property owned by Medvedchuk," he said.
The sanctions list includes:
- Konstantin Vatskovskyi, a citizen of the Russian Federation;
- Vitalii Donechenko, a citizen of the Russian Federation;
- Natalia Lavreniuk, a citizen of Ukraine;
- Sergei Lisogor, a citizen of the Russian Federation;
- Oksana Marchenko, a citizen of Ukraine;
- Aleksandr Masliuk, a citizen of the Russian Federation;
- Viktor Medvedchuk, a citizen of Ukraine;
- Mikhail Popov, a citizen of the Russian Federation.
Sanctions were also imposed on 19 companies.
Danilov reassured the journalist who asked if the 1+1 TV channel would work because Oksana Marchenko partially owns it. He noted the channel would continue to operate. Just a share of Medvedchuk's wife will be under arrest; it can't be sold, used, or mortgaged.
