Arestovych: negotiations on Donbas are at a standstill, only US intervention can help
Aggravation in the Joint Forces Operation zone is inevitable and should be expected closer to the summer.
The adviser of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG Oleksii Arestovych stated this on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel.
"I believe that it (aggravation of the situation in Donbas – ed.) isn't just possible, it's almost inevitable, eventually. The Kremlin won't stop attempts to force us. I don't undertake to name the exact date, although there are indications that this may happen in the spring, closer to the summer," Arestovych shared his opinion.
According to him, negotiations on Donbas are going sluggishly, and the truce is "hanging by a thread."
"Since the situation is practically deadlocked and there's still an attempt to use US assistance, it may help, there's nothing to count on. But I'm 100% sure that Russia is preparing a nasty surprise, and it will turn out in aggravation at the front, one way or another," the adviser said.
