The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi states that free travel for Ukrainians to the EU will be possible only if they're vaccinated against COVID-19.

He stated this in a comment to journalists during the "Ukraine 30. Coronavirus: Challenges and Responses" forum.

"I'm positive that Europe won't provide an opportunity, as I understood from my conversations with European leaders. Europe won't allow, I'm sure, to travel or (free travel – ed.) for workers if you don't have vaccinations," Zelenskyi said.

The president added that he wasn't sure that the COVID passport would be introduced in all world countries, but believed that "it would help."

Zelenskyi is certain that after starting vaccination, the entry regime foreigners into Ukraine should mirror the conditions that other countries would set for the entry of Ukrainians.

"My understanding is simple: we should have a mirror relationship, parity, honest relations with countries, especially our neighbors, with the EU. If they let in with some stamp or passport, confirmation of vaccination, we should do the same; we must have mirror relations," Zelenskyi said.
