Ukrainian woman recognized as one of the best World Games athletes
A multiple world champion and record holder, Ukrainian Larysa Soloviova took third place in the ranking of the best athletes of the World Games.

By voting on the World Games website, the most outstanding athletes in the entire 40-year history of these competitions were selected. Experts, coaches, and fans took part in the voting.
As a result of the initiative, Malaysian squash player Nicole David received 318,943 votes and became the best athlete in the competition's history.
Irishman James Kego, the legend of tug of war, is second with 113,120 votes.
Larysa Soloviova received 80,790 votes and became the third in the list of the most outstanding athletes of the World Games.
"She is called the queen of powerlifting. This charming woman with the character really knows how to win. Despite all the difficulties, injuries, and competition from younger athletes, the 42-year-old Ukrainian has been a constant favorite of any tournament for a decade and a half," the publication writes.
