Today, Ukraine comes out of strict quarantine: new restrictions

Strict January quarantine in Ukraine is over, the country returns to the quarantine restrictions that were in force in December 2020 from Monday, January 25.

Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that from January 25, the country would return to the restrictions that were in force in December 2020.

In particular, in Ukraine, it's forbidden to hold mass cultural, sports, social, advertising events, which over 20 people take part in and the 1.5-meter distance between the participants isn't observed; the work of cinemas and cultural institutions with over 50% of seats in one hall.

The work of public food and drink venues isn't allowed from 23:00 to 7:00 (except for delivery and takeaway orders). Thus, carrying out clearing transactions stop after 22:00.

Holding discos, the work of nightclubs and catering establishments organizing leisure, holding festive events, banquets, workshops, public events in entertainment and catering establishments is also forbidden.

Foreigners are prohibited from crossing the border; crossing the checkpoints to the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities and the Crimea annexed by Russia without an existing insurance policy (with some exceptions) is also forbidden.

Visitors aren't allowed in museums, exhibitions, galleries, etc. if there is over one person per 10 square meters in the halls; staying in public transport and public buildings and structures without a mask, and staying on the street without ID documents isn't allowed.

It's forbidden to visit educational institutions if over 50% of students and staff of educational institutions are in isolation, and to visit educational institutions in groups of over 20 people, except for preschool, general secondary, extracurricular, and specialized art education schools.

Planned hospitalization measures aren't allowed (except for palliative care, assistance to mothers, newborns, assistance in childbirth, treatment of cancer patients, highly specialized medical care, and other emergency medical care).

It is forbidden to hold religious events indoors if over one person per 5 sq. m. is present, and if the 1.5-meter distance between those present is not observed in the open air.

Gyms and fitness centers cannot work if there is over one person per 20 sq.m.
