Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina won a gutsy victory over Russia's first racket, Kateryna Aleksandrova at the tournament in Abu Dhabi.

In the third round of the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) tournament in the UAE, in 2 hours 31 minutes, Elina Svitolina, seeded second, beat Kateryna Aleksandrova – 6:2, 6:7 (5:7) 7:6 (8:6).
Both tennis players had two match balls each, but it was Svitolina who managed to play the opponent's match points and to implement her own on the second attempt.
The fate of the match was decided in a dramatic tie-break, Aleksandrova didn't implement match balls with a score of 6:5 and 7:6.
Kateryna Aleksandrova is the highest among Russians in the world ranking, in the 33rd position.
The next rival of the first racket of Ukraine will be another representative of Russia, Veronika Kudermetova.
