Rada's Committee expresses distrust in Minister of Defense and sends a letter to Zelenskyi
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence sent a letter to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi expressing distrust in the Minister of Defense Andrii Taran.
Committee member Serhii Rakhmanin ("Voice" party) stated this in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine.
"The committee expressed distrust in the Minister of Defense. A corresponding letter signed by the head of the committee, Oleksandr Zavitnevych, was sent to the President as the Commander-in-Chief and as the person officially submitting the nomination and dismissal of the Minister of Defense," Rakhmanin explained.
As reported, the Voice and European Solidarity parties demanded the resignation of Defense Minister Taran.
