President's Office to house analytical reform platform - Shmyhal's adviser

The Office of the President will house a think tank on one of its floors to develop strategies on a range of topics.

The adviser to the Prime Minister Kyrylo Kryvolap, who is the executive director of the Center for Economic Recovery, announced this, Interfax reports.

"Now one of the OP floors is being cleaned up. Repairs are underway so that the strategic platform can take place on the President's Office base and move forward. It's convenient for everyone when all branches of government are coordinated on one platform," he said at a conference on December 7.

According to him, the platform will be a continuation of the expert discussion launched to develop the National Economic Strategy-2030.

The presidential law on business support passed by the parliament during the lockdown is a development of the analytical center, Kryvolap said.

"On Friday, the parliament approved a package of short-term support (…) We are currently working on medium- and long-term measures regarding aviation, services …" Kryvolap explained.

In addition, in the future, the center will focus on "no-consensus" reforms.

"Pension reform, stock market, alternative finance, international financial center are the things that are still under discussion. We proposed to gather people at the forefront of these ideas in one place and record a document on meeting results. A "picture" of the state of affairs (on discussion topics)," the executive director of the Center for Economic Recovery said.
