Stepanov told about dynamics decrease: For the first time since August, coronavirus "slowed down"
Over the past week, the Ministry of Health recorded almost 7.5 thousand coronavirus cases less in Ukraine than the week before.
Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated this at a briefing.
"Last week only 89,322 people fell ill. Since the end of August, for the first time, we have seen a decrease in the number of patients compared to the week before. Last week, from 23 to 29 November, there were 96,936 patients; now, in a week from 30 November to December 6, it's 89 322. That is almost 7.5 thousand less," Stepanov said.
He noted that the number of tests in Ukraine was almost the same as last week (279 thousand).
Last week, 10,100 people were hospitalized, and the day before last, it was 11,606.
"So, 1.5 thousand fewer people were hospitalized with a confirmed diagnosis or suspected COVID-19. We also saw a decrease in the dynamics for the first time since August," Stepanov said.
