Kuleba: with Biden’s arrival, Ukraine counts on greater US support in countering Russia’s aggression

"Joe Biden is the first President of the United States in history, who doesn't need explaining in the first year of work what Ukraine is… He knows the file very well, and so do the people around him. One cannot ignore the fact that the last year and a half the Ukrainian topic in US domestic policy was painful. By the way, Ukraine went through this period with dignity, which we should also record. We hope that it will be properly assessed," Kuleba said.

According to him, another important element that will affect Ukraine will concern the US policy towards Russia.

"Of course, we'll hear far fewer unrealistic ideas about "building bridges" with Russia, that something with Russia needs "resetting" despite the lack of any constructive steps on its part. Thus, this administration has another approach to dealing with Russia. They traveled the path in relations with Russia, and Russia was also one of the election campaign topics in the United States. We heard what Joe Biden said about it. Therefore, we expect greater support in countering Russian aggression," Foreign Minister said.

In addition, according to Kuleba, after the new US administration arrives, they'll be more intensively involved in the fight against corruption and judicial reform in Ukraine.

"But here our agenda coincides, and we are ready to develop active cooperation with the United States on these tracks," the minister assured.
