EU-Ukraine Association Council to take place in February

Ukraine and the European Union agreed to hold a meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council, postponed from December, in February 2021.

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olha Stefanishyna, stated this. The UP reports.

"We have decided to hold a meeting with the European partners in an offline format. But because of the strict lockdown in Brussels, which doesn't allow an offline visit, we agreed to postpone it to February 2021," the press service cited Stefanishyna.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the parties agreed to keep the dialogue at a high political level until the Ukrainian delegation visits Brussels as soon as possible.

Stefanishyna added that the next week she together with the Prime Minister would hold talks with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell and EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, after which it'd be possible to talk about a specific date for the Association Council meeting.
