"Servant of the People": transport is unlikely to be stopped for lockdown

The Servant of the People party is certain that traffic will not be stopped during the lockdown.

Yevhenia Kravchuk, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy stated in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.

Kravchuk emphasizes that the Cabinet of Ministers must give at least 7 days' notice of any restrictive measures.

"Not only traveling people need but also business people who need to understand if they need to buy food for their restaurant or not… They are considering different options, but it will be quite difficult to stop the transport," Yevhenia Kravchuk says.

"I don't think it's possible to come to such an option, because it also requires a preparatory process. Even public transport in any city has to run even during a lockdown because there are categories of people who need it. How does a doctor or a nurse get to work? Or a person working in a housing and communal service organization responsible for having light and water? Or journalists?" Yevhenia Kravchuk said.

To recap, the chairperson of the National Security and Defense Council stated the lockdown would happen 100%. Now it is being decided if it'll be in December or January.
