Ministry of Finance successfully completed talks with IMF on 2021 draft state budget
The Ministry of Finance has successfully completed negotiations with the IMF on the main parameters of the draft state budget for 2021.
It was one of the main stipulations for starting the first revision of the joint IMF Stand-by Program for Ukraine, setting a date for the visit of the IMF European Department mission and receiving the next tranche.
The Ministry of Finance reports about the end of the talks.
"The primary focus of the talks was the creation of a common vision of the main budget indicators with the IMF as the framework of revenues, expenditures, and deficits," the statement reads.
The Ministry of Finance held daily consultations with the Fund's experts on the possibilities of financing the deficit and priority budget expenditures in 2021.
In general, the parameters of the 2021 budget coincide with the estimates of the Fund's experts, which was important for continuing successful cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF, the Ministry of Finance reports.
