Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv made her debut with Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra

On November 21, Ukrainian Oksana Lyniv made her debut with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich.

The conductor herself wrote about this on her Facebook page.

"Dear friends, an extraordinary event took place yesterday, the significance of which is still difficult for me to comprehend. The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra is in the top 10 best orchestras in the world and my debut took place yesterday. The second day in a row, I've been receiving hundreds of warm reviews about the concert from around the world! I'm glad that the record is already there, and that because of the pandemic, it is posted online and you can all join this exciting evening of beautiful music!!!" the conductor shared.

For her debut with the orchestra, Oksana Lyniv planned to perform excerpts from Wagner's Götterdämmerung, but this idea became impossible due to the fact that it requires a large orchestra, Suspilneoko.org.ua reports.

Instead, the conductor chose two standard works from the classical-romantic repertoire: Mendelssohn's "Italian Symphony" and Mozart's Sinfonia KV 364 "Concerto for Violin and Viola."

Because of the epidemic, the concert took place only in the form of video streaming, without an audience, but the conductor noted it was still very touching.

"You are alone in the room, deep in your own thoughts, and you turn to something higher," she commented.

Oksana Lyniv from Brody town in the Lviv region conducts the best orchestras in the world. She is the first woman to become the principal conductor of the Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra in Graz, Austria. The Ukrainian is also one of the three best women conductors of the young generation in the world.

"I am in a hurry to live. The meaning of my life is creativity. And creative possibilities are extremely limitless. The further my career develops, the more opportunities I have to make my old dreams come true," Oksana Lyniv shares and continues to work.
