Zelenska announced the launch of Ukrainian-language audio guides at Colosseum, Versailles, and Israeli Yad Vashem Museum

First Lady Olena Zelenska took part in the International Forum of Cultural Diplomacy, during which she announced the creation of audio guides in Ukrainian in three famous museums: the Colosseum (Italy), Versailles (France), and Yad Vashem (Israel).

Audio recordings for the Colosseum are ready and submitted for integration into the museum's audio guide system, and Ukraine has recently signed memoranda with Versailles and Yad Vashem.

"Cultural diplomacy is one of the priority areas of work that I have chosen for myself as the wife of the President. It's a very broad concept, with many opportunities and tools for involvement and self-expression. There are many formats, but the goal is the same: to present our country to the world through its culture and language as full and vivid as possible," Zelenska said during her speech.

Over the past six months, seven audio guides in Ukrainian have been launched as part of Olena Zelenska's initiative:

1. at the Albertina Art Gallery and the Museum of Art History in Austria;
2. in the Dolmabahçe Palace in Turkey, the Ephesus Open-Air Museum and the Goreme National Park (Cappadocia);
3. in the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum;
4. in the Latvian National Art Museum;
5. three more audio guides for museums in Montenegro, Italy, and Lithuania are in the process of translation and recording.

During the visit of the President and the First Lady to the United Kingdom in October 2020, the parties signed a memorandum on introducing a Ukrainian-language audio guide in the Tower of London.

"For me, this project is not only about convenience. First, it's about promoting the Ukrainian language in the world, so that the voice of Ukraine is heard in the world's most outstanding monuments; and so that we, Ukrainians, visiting other countries, can feel proud to see the flag of Ukraine among the list of language options for audio guides," Olena Zelenska told the forum participants.
