Rada explained how Biden could support Ukraine
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden will increase his support for Ukraine and impose new sanctions on Russia after winning the presidential election.
Oleksii Honcharenko, People's Deputy from the European Solidarity Party, expressed this opinion on the air of Ukraine 24 TV channel.
When asked how Biden will help Ukraine regain territory, the people's deputy answered:
"He has a lot of opportunities to do that. First, sanctions. The most important thing that can put pressure on the Putin regime today is sanctions. Sanctions have greatly affected Russia. We don't know what would've happened if there were no sanctions. It's possible that Putin's aggression could be much forceful."
As Honcharenko noted, Biden's team says "that sanctions are not systemic enough, that the United States can put much more pressure with sanctions if they want to."
"I hope they'll do that during Biden's presidency. Also, don't forget that from the Democrats' point of view, Russia has done everything possible to keep Biden from being elected. He's an absolute opponent for them, and it sounds optimistic for Ukraine," the deputy added.
To recap, Biden won the election in Pennsylvania, making him the 46th President of the United States.
Meanwhile, the White House has already begun talking about incumbent President Donald Trump's defeat.
