IT market in Ukraine will double in two years - Ministry of Digital Transformation
Thanks to the new legal regime for IT companies, Diia.City Ukraine can become a leader in digital transformation in two years and double its own IT market.
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this during a briefing on Tuesday, November 3.
According to the Minister, the number of jobs in the IT field will increase to 450 thousand in 3-4 years, i.e. double.
Fedorov is also certain that Diia.City will help to double exports and market volumes in a few years. "Today it's 5 billion. We plan to increase the entire market volume to 11-12 billion dollars in 3-4 years," Fedorov said.
At Diia.City, you can register your company, pay taxes, and enter employment relationships in a few minutes. According to Fedorov, Diia.City will help de-shadow a part of the IT industry.
In order to become a resident of Diia.City, the company must meet certain criteria. Notably, it should have not only a "founder, executive, and accountant," but also "a staff, average salary of about 1,200 euros, most importantly, about 80% of revenue in export activities."
The Ministry of Digital Transformation also took care of law enforcement agencies' non-interference and established relevant norms. In order to come to the company, you must have a sanction from the head of the prosecutor's office in the region or at the level of the Prosecutor General's Office. "We solve 99% of problematic cases," the department said.
The Ministry is also working on an e-residency project for foreign companies: "We want not only Ukrainian companies but also companies from all over the world to develop at Diia.City."
