Ukraine and Japan discussed nuclear disarmament and cyber threat counteraction
Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar discussed with Japanese Ambassador Takashi Kurai the issues of nuclear disarmament, cyber threat counteraction, and cooperation in the security field.

"The parties discussed nuclear disarmament, in particular, stated the common approaches to the UN General Assembly resolution entitled "Joint courses of action and future-oriented dialogue towards a world without nuclear weapons."
According to the parties, adopting the resolution will be another step towards strengthening the efforts of the international community on nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear disarmament, and control over the means of mass destruction," the statement said.
The diplomats noted the positive experience of cooperation between the two countries in defense and security, carried out under a memorandum between the defense ministries of Ukraine and Japan.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the parties agreed to continue the practice of holding Ukrainian-Japanese consultations in cyber threat counteraction and strengthening cooperation in the defense and security sectors.
