Quarantine in Ukraine will last until December 31, and they recommend higher education institutions to switch to remote learning from October 15 to November 15.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced it during a government meeting.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to make such decisions at a meeting on October 13.

"Today, the government will prolong adaptive quarantine until the end of the year. It's a necessary step to ensure a safer environment for Ukrainians and so far it's the most effective tool against the spread of coronavirus not only in Ukraine but in the world," Shmyhal said.

They advised schools to postpone the autumn holidays and hold them from October 15 to 30.

After that, switching to remote learning is possible.

Also, Ukraine will completely ban mass events in the "red" zone, and in the "green" zone, they limit the number to 50 people.

A social distance of 1.5 meters and a mandatory mask mode must be followed. In yellow – 30, in orange – 20.

They will allow sports events without spectators, except for international competitions.
