Duda stated that sanctions against Russia should continue until the full de-occupation of Donbas and Crimea

Polish President Andrzej Duda emphasized this during a joint media briefing with Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv.

"I reaffirm: Poland supports Ukraine on the issue of Ukrainian borders, and that the borders must be restored within an internationally recognized structure. It means restoring Ukraine's control over the territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. It also means restoring control over Crimea," Duda said.

He added that the Crimean issue is very important and further stressed that Poland emphasizes that Russia occupies Crimea in the international arena everywhere.

Duda stressed that the sanctions imposed in connection with the Russian aggression were "something natural and Poland is convinced that until the occupation is over, the sanctions policy must definitely continue."

"And we will always call on the EU and various international communities to do so," Duda said.

He noted that any changing of borders by force in Europe after the Second World War is unacceptable, and the international community should never agree to this.
