Ukraine renewed quarantine zones, Kyiv in "yellow zone"

In Ukraine, the authorities renewed quarantine zones on October 1, depending on the epidemiological situation in the regions. The decision will take effect next Monday.

The State and Regional Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies made the relevant decision.

The "red zone" of quarantine includes:

  • Ternopil;
  • Kaniv.

Forbidden: performance of public transport; work of shopping malls, cafes, and restaurants.

The "orange zone" includes Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Dnipro, Uzhhorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Mykolayiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi.

Forbidden: work of hostels and camps; restaurants, nightclubs at night; gyms, fitness centers, cultural institutions (except for institutions that can provide visits to only one person per 10 sq. m.); children's camps; a public gathering of over 100 people (one person per 20 sq. m.).

According to the new zoning regulations, transits on public transport is an exception when the occupancy is 50% of seats.

The "yellow zone" of quarantine includes Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Odesa, Kherson, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv.

Forbidden: to visit social protection institutions where elderly people are (except for those who provide services).

All other regions and cities are in the "green zone".

It is mandatory to wear masks or respirators in public buildings; one person per 5 square meters allowed during mass events; cinema 50% occupancy allowed; transportation of passengers in public transport allowed only in masks and in passenger seats.
