The 6th inauguration of Lukashenko took place secretly in the Palace of Independence in Minsk
Alexander Lukashenko was inaugurated at the Palace of Independence in Minsk. It is his sixth inauguration. The date of the event was kept secret until the last moment.

Putting his right hand on the Constitution, Alexander Lukashenko took the oath in Belarusian. He then signed an act of taking the oath. Afterwards the head of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus, Lidia Yermoshina, presented Alexander Lukashenko with a certificate of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
Lukashenko has announced he will take a post of president with a sense of pride for Belarusians.
"On this momentous day, the President vows allegiance to the Motherland and the people with a special feeling. He is very proud of the Belarusians, who passed the test of strength of their beliefs with honor. The inauguration day is the day of our solid and fateful victory. We didn't just elect the president of the country. We defended our values, our peaceful life, sovereignty, and independence. And we still have much to do."
On the morning of September 23, near the Palace of Independence, Minsk people noticed a gathering of equipment and military. They blocked the central streets and avenues in the capital. Lukashenko's motorcade arrived at the palace through them.
At about 11:40 guests began to leave the Palace of Independence and the inauguration. They went to the Belexpo exhibition center, where buses arrived.
