Borys Todurov, a well-known specialist in Ukraine, the Heart Institute director, stated it in an interview.
"Most of our operations are surgeries with artificial circulation. During this time, a person's heart stops for an hour or two, and during this period the life-support machine works. In fact, it's an artificial heart and lungs. To ensure the running of this device, it is necessary to use a gas analyzer. It is necessary to measure the oxygen level, carbon dioxide level, potassium level, magnesium level, etc. in the blood constantly, every 15-20 minutes. Namely, we should monitor blood parameters that change rapidly during this period. The gas analyzer does it. It is very expensive, but its expense side is even higher. We asked BGV Group and Hennadiy Butkevych personally to provide the clinic with these consumables. The company that provides us with this "expense" issued an invoice, I passed this invoice to the BGV Group managers, and so we received consumables for almost half a million hryvnias. It will enable us to work for the next four complete months. It's not enough for one year, but for the next four months, we are now fully supplied with consumables for the gas analyzer. Hennadiy Butkevych helped us a lot, and we are grateful that they gave us the opportunity to work without looking back at this deficit," Todurov said.

According to Borys Todurov, the Heart Institute is funded by 30% of what they need, and therefore they are constantly short of consumables and medicines.
"It's financing, first of all. Because cardiac surgery is a rather expensive field, such a shortage seriously affects our patients. Sometimes we simply cannot help a patient because we do not have the funds or the supplies to perform such an operation," he told.
He also noted that because of transferring operations at the Heart Institute, the workload will be fit in a month or two, when the quarantine will be completely finished.
"Then all the surgical "debt" that has accumulated will be compensated by a large flow. And it is very convenient that we will have gas analyzers in the coming months, providing us with the opportunity to work," the director of the Heart Institute said.

It is known that the "ATB" corporation co-founder, recognized entrepreneur, Hennadiy Butkevych, already helped the Zhytomyr region purchase 14 million hryvnias of the necessary supplies to fight against a coronavirus. Thus, his company BGV Group purchased and handed over protection for physicians, medicines, multifunctional beds, equipment to the regional medical institutions.
Also, with the support of Hennadiy Butkevych's company, the garment factory in Zhytomyrskaya launched mass tailoring of medical personnel protection.
