Butkevych’s company purchased over 25,000 protective suits from a local garment factory for Zhytomyr region doctors

The company of the Ukrainian entrepreneur Hennadiy Butkevych donated the first batch of protective suits in the amount of over 5,000 pieces for medical institutions of the Zhytomyr region and continued to support the local garment factory in Novohrad-Volynskyi.

So, in the next 2 weeks, they'll deliver another 20 thousand suits for the medical staff of the Zhytomyr region, and plan to produce over 20 thousand protective kits in May with the BGV Group support.

Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Council, wrote about it. "The first batch of protective suits in the amount of over 5 thousand pieces will be immediately sent to the hospitals of the "first wave," i.e. 12 hospitals that we have identified. Besides, we have signed an agreement for the supply of another 20 thousand suits," he wrote on Facebook.

Mykola Sichenko, director of the LESYA only better garment factory, said that by fulfilling these orders, they will meet the needs of the region. Earlier, Rubryka wrote that the LESYA only better garment factory in Novohrad-Volynskiy, which specializes in sewing premium trousers for European brands, launched serial production of personal protective equipment for Ukrainian doctors in early April.

"It all started with a will to help the local hospital. We presented them with a ventilator, and during the presentation, the head physician asked to sew protective suits. The doctors didn't have protection to go to the sick," Mykola Sichenko says.

According to him, the most difficult thing was to find the needed raw materials, since all countries have banned the export of such products. When they managed to find material, the question arose to find financial support for producing a large batch.

"Implementing this project became possible through BGV Group acting as the customer and sponsor. The first batch was paid with an advance payment of UAH 1.8 million, and we have already delivered this order. Now we will close the next contract in batches of 7 thousand sets weekly. We are doing this to deliver protection as quickly as possible," the LESYA only better factory director said. It is reported that they signed the new contract for more than UAH 6 million and after it, they plan another batch of over 20 thousand kits for doctors.

"The factory product is fully certified and meets all regulatory requirements. In addition, we didn't stop searching for Ukrainian-made raw materials, so as not to depend on foreign countries. And we actually found such a product, conducted all the needed tests and also certified. Our laminated spun-bond does not differ from world leaders in this market," Mykola Sichenko says.

According to Mykola Sychenko, the suit is airtight and reliable for protection against the virusmore
The suit has a "breathable" insert on the back made of protective material. "We consult a lot with local doctors, infectious disease specialists from all over Ukraine about the convenience and practicality of our suits," Mykola Sychenkomore

According to him, the factory has already helped beyond the boundaries of the Zhytomyr region only. "Today, the factory produces over 3200 sets per day. We give more than half of everything produced to the Perzhansk Ore Company (part of BGV Group – Ed.) according to their order. It's a major benefactor delivering sets free to medical institutions in our region. The second half of the product is the execution of smaller orders throughout Ukraine," he also said.

In fact, the ATB corporation co-founder, a well-known entrepreneur Hennadiy Butkevych, has already helped the Zhytomyr region in the purchase of 14 million hryvnias of all needed to fight against coronavirus. So, his company BGV Group purchased and delivered protection for doctors, medicines, multifunctional beds, equipment to medical institutions of the region.

This week, the ATB corporation sent a system of PCR diagnostics for coronavirus to Zhytomyr.

In addition, the ATB company helped the Zhytomyr region with free food packages for unprotected Ukrainians. They continue distributing almost 24 thousand packages.
