On the night of March 19, Russian forces launched an attack on Kyiv with 45 drones, lasting nearly six hours. In Bucha district, debris damaged 20 townhouses, 15 private homes, and 19 vehicles, injuring two people. Immediately after the attack, residents started rebuilding their homes. In Kyiv, on March 16, an event was held near the Shevchenko National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater to commemorate the third anniversary of the Russian airstrike on the Mariupol Drama Theater, where civilians had taken shelter. Hundreds, including children, perished in the attack. Participants laid out the inscription "CHILDREN" (which also can be read as "WHERE ARE YOU" in Ukrainian)in white letters and lit blue and yellow lamps in front of the theater.
