Language Lab, a language school based in Ukraine, has collaborated with Promova, a leading language-learning platform, to introduce a specialized course for international students learning Ukrainian.

Rubryka reports this, referring to Language Lab and Promova.

What is the problem?

For many language learners around the world, accessing accurate and authentic Ukrainian language instruction is challenging. The existing apps usually offer general language courses that prioritize quantity over quality, making it difficult for learners to retain vocabulary and develop practical language skills. Additionally, few resources emphasize the cultural nuances essential for truly understanding Ukrainian, which is crucial for effective language use in real-life situations.

What is the solution?

Language Lab, a Ukrainian-based language school, has partnered with Promova, a top language-learning platform, to launch a specialized Ukrainian course designed for international learners. This course uniquely combines Language Lab's expert-led sessions with Promova's advanced online platform, creating a comprehensive learning experience that offers both authentic instruction and a practical approach to language retention and usage. Learners now have access to a highly curated curriculum that balances vocabulary and grammar essentials with real cultural insights.

How does it work?

The course is delivered through a seamless, blended learning experience. First, learners start with bite-sized lessons on Promova's platform, each introducing 3–4 key words or phrases. Developed by professional educators who are native speakers, these lessons focus on retention and comprehension rather than overwhelming students with excessive content. Every word and phrase is reinforced through interactive practice sessions, mini grammar lessons, and cultural cards that provide context to Ukrainian language use and cultural practices.

In addition to independent practice, learners can join live sessions led by Language Lab's experienced tutors, allowing them to apply their skills in real-time. The course currently offers a Beginner level with ongoing new lessons and plans for further levels in the future. This ensures learners can continue to advance as they become more confident and fluent. The combination of Promova's accessible platform and Language Lab's expert instructors makes this course a unique, user-friendly, and culturally immersive experience.

"This collaboration with the Language Lab is deeply important to us, both from personal and business perspectives," said Alisa Sihinishyna, Head of E-Learning at Promova. "As a Ukrainian-founded company operating on a global level, we are committed to supporting the global appreciation of Ukraine's linguistic and cultural heritage. Additionally, this marks a new step in offering a one-stop solution to our users. By combining live tutoring with interactive in-app lessons, we provide a holistic learning experience for those who want to learn Ukrainian and immerse themselves in the culture of our beautiful country."

"Our partnership with Promova allows us to offer a comprehensive approach to learning Ukrainian, with study materials that stand out from other apps," commented Ksenia Golubytska, Director and Founder of Language Lab. "With 100% of our instructors being professional linguists with degrees in philology and after 8 years of refining our methodology through over 60,000 lessons, we've developed a course now available on the Promova platform that connects language learning with Ukraine's real-world cultural context. Additionally, learners can supplement their self-study on the platform with expert tutoring sessions from our team, ensuring consistent progress and success in mastering Ukrainian, resulting in a truly immersive learning experience."

The course is available on the Promova online platform. For more information or to sign up for a free trial lesson with Language Lab, please visit our website.
